Converting a battery powered fan to a Solar Powered Fan

2 Converting a battery powered fan to a Solar Powered FanI searched high and low for a solar powered fan but with no joy so i bought a battery powered fan and two rechargeable batteries, i used my solar power battery charger (for the same type batteries) and connected the wires to a plug.

I modified the socket inside to the power goes directly to the batteries. So not to burn out the motor if you do this yourself it’s a good idea to reduce the power to the fan at the same time as using solar power to charge the batteries.

It works a treat. I made it for someone special.

Cost…. $4 for wire and plug. 20 mins to solder the wires inside the fan and modify the solar battery charger.

Thats pretty cool! If only everything electric could be powered by solar like that. Really smart e-engineering
