What is the difference between Photovoltaic Electricity and Solar Panels?

I thought they were the same thing??

Photvoltaic makes electricity.

solar panels makes hot water.

    Solar panels makes hot water.Also make electric if equip ted with the right mylar coated film. You can research it in more detail and may want to build your own i hear you can save a lot.

    Solar water heating collectors are sometimes called solar panels as well, so there are multiple types of solar panels.
