how does solar energy get from the panels to consumers?

does anyone know how the electricity produced from photovoltaic panels/trees gets to the consumer? and what limitations it gives to the environment?
Thanks
My panels are on my roof so they are tied into my homes electrical system into my breaker box. The large scale systems are tied into the "grid" they power flows through the same high voltage power lines that bring all other sources of electricity to homes. Most homes get their electricity from a variety of sources, power plants go on and off line often.

The amount of solar panels that will be needed will depend on the size of your home and how much electric you need to generate. Knowing exactly how solar panels work will help make sure that you are able to calculate just how many panels you need and what size they must be. The solar panels basically trap the natural energy that comes from the sun and converts it into energy that you can use to run electric through your home.
Now that you have a basic understanding of they way solar panels work, you will want to start pricing the different panels that you will need to get the work started. As you will soon find out, because of how special these panels are and how advanced they are with collecting the suns energy, they are going to cost a good bit of money. The average cost to supply a home with energy from solar panels will cost about ten thousand dollars to install. Some people will obtain loans to cover this cost but for those who cannot afford it or obtain the credit to do so, there are other options available.
Because the power that is obtained from the solar panels is able to work side by side with power from the power plant, you can slowly add solar panels into your home as money allows. There are also many government and power plant programs out there that are designed to assist you with converting your home into a home fully ran on solar power. While there will still be an out of pocket cost for you, a lot of these programs will be able to help you recover a lot of the expenses you incur from this. Just look around at all of your different options now that you fully understand just how do solar panels work.
Solar power can save you a lot of bucks and solar power kits are now easy to own and afford. Did you know that you can get your own solar panels built and installed for under $200?
